I am currently studying for Cloud Security at WGU (Since editing this post I am happy to say I passed my Cloud Security test!) and thought I would check out THMs “Intro to Cloud Security” room. This room covers the main aspects of cloud security: cloud security, the different cloud infrastructures, different models, cloud characteristics, etc. This room is a great supplemental learning experience if you are currently studying cloud security!
This room covers the data life-cycle with an interactive “site” and goes into greater detail of the data lifecycle within the room itself and most importantly, the security aspect of each phase as far as encrypting, DLP, secure connections, etc.

I know THM has AWS and Azure rooms and was surprised they introduced AWS in this room. They do suggest making an account to follow the room and of course this is optional. I went ahead and made a new account as my old account was deactivated after no use a few years ago. Creating a new user and new group was seamless if you follow along with the THM course.

The room goes into more cloud details, mostly surrounding the AWS gambit. Overall I enjoyed this room. Cloud security is growing and this is worth checking out. I did see that THM has cloud paths and they are enticing but they are it’s own separate thing as far as pricing. The pricing is pretty high and I would have to go into more research to see if the price is worth it as I have not seen too many others mentioning it. It is cool that you get your own cloud environments through THM and I imagine that is part of reasoning behind the price of it. Now it’s back to the Cybersecurity 101 path!
