I did not expect to still be taking Python-related courses, but here I am. On one hand, I was hoping to finish this and move on—essentially wrapping up this class and diving deeper into cybersecurity. On the other hand, I’ve come to appreciate the significance of Python and programming as a whole and also learned the importance of it in cybersecurity.
So far, I have completed two Python courses on Mimo, watched 15 days of the “100 Days of Python” course on Udemy by Angela Yu, and tackled a course from TCM Security. Mimo, once again, is great. Mimo has proven to be a fantastic resource. I opted for the Mimo Max membership to access guided labs, and I believe it was worth it, depending on how serious you are about your goals. The TCM path was enjoyable as well and it also introduced me to using Python with network related commands. Also it was my first TCM course and I have been eyeballing them for a while as I know a lot of my peers praise TCM. I appreciated the projects that I have done, some dealing with cyber security(making a cipher project in “100 days of Python) and AI in the Mimo capstone(AI is all the praise, I know, but cool to see how it works with Python).
I have also started to watch Jason Dion’s video for CySA and guess what, he is pointing out the use case of conditional statements in cyber security. I even noticed them at work for my ticketing system. I learned the importance of the logical mindset these past few months and the importance of keeping your resolve when tackling a new computer area that I am unfamiliar with. Enjoy your learning journey even when it’s difficult!
